Guillaume Campredon est un sculpteur français né à Versailles (France) en 1991. Il travaille principalement la pierre calcaire et le granit.

Il découvre la sculpture pendant ses études de sémiotique, et approfondit sa pratique de manière autodidacte. Sa thèse de doctorat soutenue à l'Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas et intitulée, "Pour une théorie du signe augmenté, sémiotiques du monstre en société. Les trajectoires médiatiques et politiques du signe et de la franchise Pokémon", nourrit dans la complémentarité sa démarche artistique.

Dans le cadre de la création contemporaine, il explore le saisissement des signes et leur inscription dans la pierre. Son travail est une confluence, un dialogue constant entre univers végétal, animal et minéral. Les thèmes du bestiaire et de la botanique abreuvent sa recherche artistique : une recherche transhistorique, transfrontalière et transculturelle.

Guillaume Campredon is a French sculptor born in Versailles (France) in 1991. He works mainly with limestone and granite.

He discovered sculpture during his studies of semiotics, and deepened his practice in a self-taught way. His doctoral thesis, defended at the University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas and entitled, "For a theory of the augmented sign, semiotics of the monster in society. The media and political trajectories of the Pokémon franchise and sign", feeds his artistic approach in a complementary way.

Within the framework of contemporary creation, he explores the seizure of signs and their inscription in stone. His work is a confluence, a constant dialogue between plant, animal and mineral worlds. The themes of bestiary and botany feed his artistic research: a transhistorical, cross-border and transcultural research.
